The Fine Arts Department offers opportunities for students to develop skills and levels of excellence that will not only allow for them to shine in the arts but also in other facets of their life, now and in the future.
Creativity, self-expression, and risk-taking are hallmarks of our visual arts, music, and drama. Students’ work is on display at our bi-annual art shows, while our musicians perform in our annual Holiday and Spring Concert, and thespians perform in our Fall Play and Spring Musical.
The success of our Fine Arts programs is the result of our teachers’ passions and the program’s various opportunities, catering to the beginner as well as the advanced student and their needs. Independent Studies and Contemporary Music for upper classmen provide unique opportunities for the more advanced, self-motivated students. When senior year rolls around, students are quite ready for college and go on to some of the top programs in the country: Oberlin, Berklee College of Music, the Art Institute of Chicago, Parsons, Rhode Island School of Design, and many more.
The success of our program is also apparent in the numbers: approximately half the student body is enrolled in our music program, 150+ students enrolled in Art classes, and 100+ students participate in our theatrical productions and Drama classes.
A world of opportunity and creativity is waiting for you!
