Good afternoon all–
Another great week in the books for the Crusaders! Well done…but don’t take your foot off the pedal yet…our busiest week of the spring is upon us!
This week there are 23 athletic events on the calendar. 10 of them are “at home.” They include events that are scrimmages all the way to a championship level. Sprinkle in some other important school events like the Spring Concert, the Spring Art Show, make up AP exams, and oh yeah, the PROM, and it makes for a very exciting, but busy week.
To avoid conflict after school and during all these events, we have scheduled a make-up athletic photo day during school. Monty Rand photography will be on campus on Wednesday, May 25, during lunch. If you have not had your photo taken, even if you are not ordering a package, please come have your photo taken during this period so you can be in the team photo. Check with your coaches and teammates to make sure you are in the proper gear for the photo. See Coach O if you need a paper order form and the digital order form is attached. Thank you.
Despite our best efforts and desires, COVID-19 continues to persist in the community. Please stay home when you don’t feel well. Take advantage of free at home testing and report your results to the nurses and school administration. Communicate with your coaches, follow protocols, continue to sanitize, and don’t share water. Take care of each other.
Have you registered to do your digital 5K as part of our JB Bunny Hop Fundraiser? Sign-up, team-up, warm-up, and fire up! Take pictures and videos and send them into our web page! Show off your limited-edition t-shirt and tell all your friends and family! We appreciate your support! Thank you.
We now have between nine and fourteen days left in school depending on your class. That is not a ton of time, but it is still something. Like we have been saying, if you are doing well in school, take care of business and finish strong. If you are on the borderline in a class of two, take advantage of the time left and finish strong. If you are struggling, reach out to your teachers, change the tide, and finish strong. See the theme? FINISH STRONG!
Like we said at the assembly last week, we are so excited for you to have all these incredibly special events and rites of passage happening in your life. Spring sports, eventual playoff and championship competition, special school events, recognition nights, concerts, art shows, and the prom! We really want you to enjoy it all. Having said that, I beg you, please be safe. Make good decisions. Stick together. Help each other do the right thing. Don’t drive fast. Don’t distract each other when you are traveling. Work hard to keep everyone safe. Thank you.
Take time to support your classmates and teammates this week in all their events! It may be busy. It could be special. It will definitely be exciting! Let’s have a great week!
GO CRUSADERS!
