Clubs and Activities
John Bapst students can participate in various clubs that cater to their diverse interests. Additionally, they have the opportunity to initiate their own clubs with faculty support. For further details regarding a specific club, please reach out to the respective faculty advisor.
Art Club meets weekly and we work on various projects for 2-4 weeks at a time like printmaking, painting, and much more. Anyone is welcome to join us!

The Aviation Club is for students that have an interest in aviation in general, whether it be commercial or military. Students discuss a wide variety of topics in aviation and welcome all who are interested in participating and sharing their interests and experiences in aviation.

Cat Club aims to improve the lives of as many felines as possible by working together to make donations, connect with local shelters, and engage in discussions as a group about our own experiences with our feline friends! Cat Club will meet on Wednesdays from 2-2:45 in the Counseling Office.

John Bapst Chess Club is where players of all skill levels gather to play, learn, and improve their chess skills. Many meetings feature friendly matches, and students who attend can choose to participate in local and state tournaments.

The Civil Rights Team Project is a club committed to making our community a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their identity, through awareness and visibility projects.

Crusader Council consists of a small number of students chosen from each grade by an application process. Members are responsible for planning student-led assemblies and creating and implementing Crusader games, to boost friendly competition among grades and promote school spirit.

French Club welcomes all members of the John Bapst community to explore the diverse cultures of the French-speaking world, and to promote international friendship through the medium of French. Our regular activities include food, media, games, and conversation, and we aspire to organize travel opportunities in the future.

Guitar Club is a student-run club dedicated to playing and sharing music. All abilities and instruments (that can fit in room 205) are welcome.

JCL (Junior Classical League) is an organization that promotes the study of the ancient world through the lens of the Latin and Ancient Greek languages (we do not offer Greek!). Our local chapter meets at both the local and state level, of which there are three main conventions every year, in order to further our understanding of the influences that the ancient world has on our modern day cultures.

The Bapst Math Team is a group of like-minded students who all love math, enjoy learning new math concepts and techniques, and have fun traveling to other schools to show off their skills. The team participates in regular competitions hosted by neighboring schools and organized by the Maine Association of Math Leagues. All students are welcome to participate regardless of skill level or prior experience.
