I hope this finds you all well. Welcome to the Fall Sports Season for John Bapst Athletics! Each Friday, for the rest of the season, you will receive an email like this detailing the schedule for the following week. If you have questions, you should always feel free to reach out to us. We want you to have all the answers you need to plan your week. We are excited for a great season!
Practices for all of our fall sports (Cheer, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls soccer) begin on Monday, August 14.
Attached to this email are several documents. They include details about the first activity on Monday and contact information for the coach of each program, the schedule for the entire first week, and the paperwork you need to fill out and return to the Athletic Director in order to participate.
With regard to the paperwork, there are two forms. The first is a permission and insurance form, and the second is a physical form. Both can be emailed to the Athletic Director at email@example.com. The Permission form is season specific and should be filled out by everyone. Each athlete should have a physical on file each calendar year. If your current physical has lapsed, or you are a ninth grader, you should submit a new form. Thank you for getting those in at your earliest convenience.
Also on the schedule, is a parent/athlete meeting, for several of our sports. On Tuesday or Wednesday evening this week (via Zoom), Cheer, Football, Golf, and Boys Soccer will meet. Cross Country, Field Hockey, and Girls Soccer will meet next week. Zoom links for those meetings will follow at the beginning of the week.
Lastly, for now, please lean on your coaches during the preseason for day to day communication. If there are schedule changes or updates we will do our best to get them out to everyone, but it is most efficient for your coach to be your first point of contact during the preseason. If you are unable to get the information you seek, or there are any issues, you can always reach out to me as well.
We hope you enjoy the weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday!
Dan O’Connell–Athletic Director (firstname.lastname@example.org)
