John Bapst visits the School of the Performing Arts, University of Maine

A high school choir sings under the direction of Colin Graebert of John Bapst

Engaging with current and future Music Educators!  On Monday, March 24th, the John Bapst Treble Choir traveled to the School of the Performing Arts at the University of Maine, Orono to attend a workshop with Dr. Bridget Sweet, an expert in the changing adolescent voice. The Treble Choir members served as a demonstration choir for Dr. Sweet during a presentation for Maine music educators and UMO music education students. Later, the Treble Choir members teamed up with their colleagues from Hampden Academy to, again, serve as the demonstration choir for another session. It was an excellent learning experience and we are looking forward to future opportunities to work with the School of Performing Arts at UMO. Many thanks to Mrs. Priest (Hampden Academy), Dr. Sweet (University of Illinois), and Dr. Rebecca DeWan (UMO).
