What a wonderful Sunday afternoon in Portland! 
Our John Bapst Alumni & Friends Gathering brought together Crusaders from the 60s, 80s, and 2000s at Noble Barbecue (owned by John Bapst alum Ryan Carey '02) for an afternoon of entertaining stories, great food, and some Crusader swag.
But the best moment of the day was completely unplanned. A woman happened to walk by, with no idea what was going on, and stopped to ask. One quick explanation later, she was all smiles: her son is a John Bapst alum, and her granddaughter is starting at John Bapst this fall. She was absolutely beaming with pride over her granddaughter's academic achievements and couldn't wait for her to begin her Crusader journey.
That moment said it all. John Bapst isn't just a school. It's a legacy passed down through generations.
