Finally, with Lacrosse off to Wales, Maine today for a match with Oak Hill High School, all of our Spring sports are underway! Having said that, in a mere 45 days, all of our spring State Championships will have been decided! That means the next several weeks will be crucial on a number of fronts.
First, work hard! Put your best foot forward every time you have a chance to get better at your craft! Don’t waste a single opportunity. Make your teammates better by competing in practice. Help your team improve in competitions by working as hard as you can until the bitter end, win or learn.
Next, be diligent. Stay the course with regard to COVID protocols. We may have taken the masks off while competing, but we have not on the bus, on the bench, in the school, and anytime we are within 6 feet of each other. Don’t share water. Continue to sanitize and wash your hands. Bring your forms daily. Keep up the great work.
Then communicate! Several events will be happening at the end of the year creating some conflicts with sporting events. SAT tests, AP Tests, and several other functions are jammed in to the busiest time of year. Please continue to work hard in the classroom, and let your coaches know when you have conflicts. If you need a van ride, please continue to sign up for those by contacting Coach O. As there are changes to the schedules we will get them out to you as fast as we can. Thank you.
Finally, have fun! The weather is nice, we are outside, we are playing the sports we love, at one of the best times of the school year! ENJOY IT!
Have a great weekend and a great week next week (Team Pictures will be a week from Monday, 5/17 at school. Stay tuned for information)!
