Another successful week has passed. Congratulations to all of you on your efforts thus far, and to those of you that have earned victories this week. Good luck to all spring athletes as every team is in action between today and tomorrow!
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during our athletic photo shoot this past week. We understand there were some of you that could not make the session for various reasons. We will be scheduling a “make-up” date with Monty Rand Photography soon. If you did not get your picture taken, please let Coach O know via email as soon as possible. The make-up session will be during a school lunch period. We will keep you posted on a date.
There are four weeks left in the school year (only three weeks for the seniors–congratulations)! They will be a whirlwind for you all. Now is not the time to put academic priorities aside, but to buckle down. “Plan your work, and work your plan.” Make a schedule for yourself and stick to it. Plan time for larger end of the year and end of the quarter projects. Make sure to plan for athletic and non-athletic commitments alike. Make a daily calendar that includes time for REST! You need to sleep to achieve your best results. As the weather continues to get warmer, hydrate. Communicate with your teachers. Honor your commitments with the grace and prestige that makes you a John Bapst student-athlete! Let us know how we can help.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 is still hanging around. Please take proper precautions to help keep each other healthy and safe. Stay distant when you can, and don’t share water vessels or any other utensils. If you are not feeling well, stay home, and get tested. Communicate your test results and follow protocols for your safe return. Thank you.
Most importantly, as we wind down on the school year with great second halves of seasons in front of us, HAVE FUN. Take a minute, when you have a chance, and take it all in! Go and support your classmates and teammates where you can. Go to games, go to events to honor each other, cheer each other on. Thank your teammates. Thank your coaches. Thank your teachers. Thank your families. None of us lives in this thriving village alone. Take the time to thank those that have helped you along the way.
Let’s have a great week!
