Good Morning,
The 2024 Weekly Athletic Schedule (5-13 to 5-18) is attached.
Thank you for a great week last week, and for your patience and flexibility with an ever-changing schedule due to the weather. Many of you handled the changes, while juggling your normal responsibilities, AP Testing, and athletic photos as well. We truly appreciate you all working with us through a tough stretch! Thank you.
Similar issues persist this week as we enter week two of the AP exam schedule, our normal school schedule, and a very busy week in athletics. Please pay very close attention to the schedule as it is written now (there are several changes to the competition portion of the schedule). Please note game, match, and meet times, as well as transportation times, and plan accordingly. Thank you.
Please know, when we have to reschedule a competition or a practice, especially at this time of year, we will enlist the help of our coaches to get word to our athletes about the change. Student-athletes, please help us get word to your parents and families. The school and coaches will work to do that as well, but very often, through the students is the quickest way for us to get the word out. Please communicate with your parents and family members when there is a change. Thank you.
When there are changes, like last week and into this week, often the subvarsity game schedule is adversely affected. We are working with the facilities we use, our opponents, the officials, and our coaching staff to get those subvarsity games made up, and even to add new opportunities. We will continue to communicate with everyone as we finalize changes and new opportunities for those teams. Please keep working hard and stay tuned for updates. Thank you!
A makeup date for athletic photos has been scheduled for Thursday, 5/15, during lunch. Any student-athlete that did not get photographed last week should plan to do so during lunch on Thursday (in the foyer). Please wear the entire uniform your teammates wore last week, and bring your form (attached) if you intend to order photos. Please let us know if you have questions. Thank you!
There is a lot going on at John Bapst right now, and it will only get busier in the coming weeks. Please “buckle down” in the classroom. Make a plan to get your schoolwork done in a complete and timely manner. Communicate with your teacher about your needs to meet them for extra help. Plan to make time for your work when you have activities after school and in the evening that will disrupt your normal plan. Your academics should be your priority, especially when it gets busy. Keep up the good work! Thank you!
We wish the entire school and community a very special, safe and happy Mother’s Day! To all Mothers, everywhere, we send a very special and emphatic THANK YOU!
Let’s have a great week, GO CRUSADERS!
