Weekly Athletic Schedule, March 8 to March 13, 2021
Update:
GO CRUSADERS!
March 7, 2021
And so it is here…the FINAL week of winter sports (with the exception of Cheer–they will keep working through next week)! While it was a bizarre season in terms of format, and scheduling, and logistics, it was still very memorable! Many of our student-athletes performed at a very high level and our teams were involved in heated competition. We did things “the right way” with regard to COVID-19 policies, all while keeping a tremendously positive attitude. We can’t thank you enough for all of your efforts!
The JV Basketball teams, the Hockey Team, and Boys’ Alpine all have tournament games and races this week, so good luck! The track team will be having a couple optional workouts, the Boys’ Swim team is awaiting results from their virtual league championship, and like we said the Cheer team is awaiting PVC results and looking to the virtual State Championship Meet next week. Good luck to all involved.
Soon it will be time to transition to spring sports. Arm conditioning (“Pitchers and Catchers”) for baseball and softball is tentatively set for 3/22. All other spring sports, Lacrosse, Outdoor Track, and Tennis are tentatively set to begin the following Monday on 3/29. Guidelines and schedules for all of these activities are still being considered by the MPA. As soon as we have official updates, we will let you know. We will do our sign-ups as usual, and the Google Doc will appear in your email on Wednesday, 3/10!
We would also like to use this platform to help support our seniors! We will begin to advertise various fundraisers here for Project Graduation. Mark your calendar for the next two events in March, with more to follow:
Wednesday, March 10–Eat at Mason’s (Brewer) from 5-9pm and Project Graduation will get 10% of the proceeds!
Wednesday, March 17–Eat at Chick-Fil-A (Bangor) from 4:30-10pm and Project Graduation will earn 15% of the proceeds!
Keep working hard at your school work. Stick together, check on each other, and thank those that help you on your journey!
The Weekly Schedule (3-8 to 3-13) is attached. Have a great week!
