Good Morning,
The 2024 Weekly Athletic Schedule (2-5 to 2-10) is attached.
Another busy week in the athletic department is on the horizon. All of our programs are in action again this week. Some face important regular season competitions, some will be playing the last games of their regular season, some teams are competing in postseason contests, and others are preparing for, and competing in, conference, regional, and even state championship competitions. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!
As the competition level ramps up, it is important to remember and trust your training. Lock in to your preparation. It is easy to “look by” these opportunities to improve toward the excitement of competition. However, it is important to pay attention to detail and focus on getting ready. Be coachable. Approach your preparation with a great attitude and high effort level. Take care of your body. Eat well and hydrate. Even when it is difficult, please get some rest. All of these things will help you perform at your best.
This week also includes one of the most important days of the year for OUR school community. Step Up Day, for eighth-graders, is on Friday, February 9. For those of you that are choosing to help US promote OUR great school on Friday, WE thank you. WE appreciate the pride you will take in representing US on that day, and WE are confident you will represent all of US in a great manner as WE show these young students what WE are all about. Thank you in advance for doing a great job on Friday!
While all of these great events are happening, it is vital you stay on top of your academic commitments. Your teachers are very supportive of your involvement in all the co-curricular activities and want you to be successful. Please continue to communicate with them to get your schoolwork finished in a quality and timely manner. Do the right thing in class, and do your homework. Make success in the classroom your priority so you can enjoy the opportunities offered in the afternoon and evening.
Let’s have a great week! GO CRUSADERS!
