Good Morning,
As we transition to our third week of winter sports, the calendar has flipped to December! The Weekly Athletic Schedule (12-4 to 12-9) is attached.
All of our programs are in action now, and preseason competitions have begun. While some of you will need to remain patient, the basketball and swim and dive regular seasons begin this week! Good luck to all!
Tuesday, we will have our winter athletic photoshoot at school. With the exception of ice hockey and wrestling (your date will be later in the season), ALL WINTER SPORTS ATHLETES SHOULD PLAN TO HAVE THEIR PHOTO TAKEN ON TUESDAY AT LUNCH. The photographer will be set up in the foyer (bring a jacket or a sweatshirt, it is breezy down there!). Your coaches will inform you on what gear to wear for pictures. The digital ordering form is attached to this email. Feel free to print it and bring it with you or to order online as well. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We now have two weeks until our next break, and we are approaching the middle of the academic quarter. You must make time for your academic commitments. “Plan your work and work your plan.” Use your time wisely. Communicate with your teachers and hand in complete and quality work. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We are here to help you.
Game schedules for all sports are now complete and will be posted this weekend. Please look for a separate email with all of the schedules by Monday. They will also be posted on our website at www.johnbapst.org next week.
Despite the eventual transition from preseason to the regular season, the message is the same! COMMIT, PREPARE, COMPETE, HAVE FUN! Please remember, you have made a commitment to your teammates and coaches in your sport. Sacrificing to be present, on time, and ready to go is a must for success. Once you arrive, be locked in mentally, and be coachable. Take the time to learn and improve. Once you are prepared, compete with maximum effort in practices and games. GO FOR IT! Once you have committed, and you have prepared, and you compete, you will have fun! Good luck!
GO CRUSADERS!
