Good Afternoon.
We hope this finds you all well and enjoying the final weekend of our holiday break. We hope you have had an opportunity to spend time with family and friends, to put some work into your activities, and to get some rest and “recharge” as we get ready to return to school on Tuesday.
As we make our return to the classroom, it is important to remember where we are in the academic quarter. With just a couple weeks left in the second quarter, it will be important to jump right back in to our school routines this week. Make sure to be organized and be focused in class and on your schoolwork. Get your assignments in on time, and make sure they are done in a quality manner. If you need additional help, communicate with your teachers to make plans to get back on track. Please make your academic responsibilities your priority.
Athletic Photos will be taken this week. They will be taken during lunch, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p,m, on Wednesday, January 3. We will take the photos in the gym in the basement at 100 Broadway. Please remember ALL student-athletes should be photographed regardless of whether you will order photos or not. Your coaches will let you know how they would like you to be dressed for the photos. You can print the photo order form (attached), or you can order online after the photos have been taken. Photos can be ordered at montyrand.com. Please arrive to the photo shoot as early as possible, and do your best not to disrupt school business. Please let us know if you have any questions.
As we return to school, as cold and flu season rages on, and as practice and game schedules persist, it is vital for us all to be sure to take care of our bodies. Please dress warm. Wash your hands, wash your gear, and if you aren’t feeling well. stay home. Please be sure to hydrate, to eat well, and to plan to get as much sleep as possible.
For those in need, the complete compete competition schedule, for all winter sports, can be found on the John Bapst website (www.johnbapst.org) under the “athletics” and then “athletics calendar” tabs. Please let us know if you have any questions.
A very important part of the academic year and the toughest part of the winter sports season is about to be upon us. Work hard, stay committed to your teammates and your coaches and stick together. Be accountable and work hard every day to improve.
Please let us know how we can help you be successful!
Here’s to a great 2024! Happy New Year! GO CRUSADERS!
