Bowdoin College Book Award – Camdyn Chung
This award recognizes a high school junior who has demonstrated extraordinary service to the common good and an unusual passion for inquiry, discovery, and innovative thinking.
Brandeis University Book Award – Madelyn Copithorne
The Brandeis University Book Award is awarded to an outstanding junior in top academic standing who demonstrates a commitment to community service, political activism, social justice, or volunteer work.
Bryn Mawr College President’s Book Award – Aubrey Hanscom
This award recognizes a student who demonstrates an intense intellectual commitment, a purposeful vision for life, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the world.
Chatham University Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award – Summer LaRose
Named for Chatham’s most famous alumna, Rachel Carson ’29, the award is given to a deserving student who embodies the spirit of Rachel Carson in their dedication to sustainability and community development. Eligible students for this award should have a strong focus on environmental ethics and engagement, social justice, leadership, and stewardship within their community and school.
Clarkson University Achievement Award and Clarkson University Leadership Award – Achievement Award – Ainsley Overlock; Leadership Award – Ellie Kuhl
The Clarkson University Award program annually recognizes juniors who demonstrate strong leadership qualities, positively impact their high school and local community, and have a proven academic record. The Achievement Award comes with a $12,000 annual scholarship and the Leadership Award comes with a $15,000 annual scholarship for recipients who apply, are accepted, and choose to enroll at Clarkson University; both of these scholarships are renewable for up to four years.
College of the Atlantic Book Award – Ella Brochu
The College of the Atlantic Book Award is given to an adventurous junior who is invested in creating positive change in the world, and is engaged in their learning and their community.
Dartmouth Book Award – Marie Nemeth
The Dartmouth Book Award goes to a junior with outstanding academic credentials who is outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, and respected by peers and faculty, and who has made a significant extracurricular contribution to their school.
Elmira College Key Award – Suzy Fussell and Tristan Prokop
The Key Award is given to students who demonstrate school and community leadership, and outstanding academic achievement. Awardees receive an $80,000 scholarship over a four-year period upon enrolling at Elmira College.
Harvard Prize Book – Phoenix Whiteley
Harvard Prize books are presented annually to outstanding juniors who demonstrate general excellence and high character.
Princeton University Book Award – Jing Russell
The Princeton University Book Award is an opportunity to recognize a junior who excel both in the classroom and in their respective communities, and who has proven to be a well-rounded, engaged individual. A select number of students in the state of Maine are selected for this award.
Rensselaer Medal – Declan Schilling
The Rensselaer Medal recognizes the superlative academic achievement of young students and motivates students toward careers in science, engineering, and technology. This merit scholarship, with a value of $30,000 per year, is guaranteed for four years for each Medalist who is accepted and enrolls at Rensselaer.
Rochester Institute of Technology Art & Design Award – Jonah Bean
This award goes to a junior pursuing a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, who are active and involved members of their school and/or community and has demonstrated an interest and ability in art, design, and creativity. All approved nominees will have their application fee waived and will receive an $19,000 annual scholarship if they are admitted and enrolled at RIT in the fall immediately following their graduation from high school.
Rochester Institute of Technology Business & Leadership Award – Sydney Legasse
This award goes to a junior pursuing a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, who are active and involved members of their school and/or community and has demonstrated an interest and ability in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. All approved nominees will have their application fee waived and will receive an $19,000 annual scholarship if they are admitted and enrolled at RIT in the fall immediately following their graduation from high school.
Rochester Institute of Technology Humanities & Social Science Award – Abby Willard
This award goes to a junior pursuing a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, who are active and involved members of their school and/or community and has demonstrated an interest and ability in humanities and social sciences. All approved nominees will have their application fee waived and will receive an $19,000 annual scholarship if they are admitted and enrolled at RIT in the fall immediately following their graduation from high school.

This award goes to a female or non-binary junior pursuing a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, who are active and involved members of their school and/or community and has demonstrated an interest and ability in science, computing, robotics, and/or math. All approved nominees will have their application fee waived and will receive an $19,000 annual scholarship if they are admitted and enrolled at RIT in the fall immediately following their graduation from high school.
Saint Anselm College Book Award – Alex Nguyen
The Saint Anselm College Book Award goes to an outstanding junior who exercises a capacity for academic achievement and exceptional leadership qualities in the area of civic engagement. The recipient must possess strong character and embody the values inherent in the Saint Anselm Benedictine tradition, and have aspirations for continued education.
St. Lawrence Book Award Scholarship – Finn Oldenburg
This award honors students who consistently demonstrate a significant commitment to community service. Students receive a select book, plus a $4,000 scholarship over four years to attend St. Lawrence University.
Saint Michael’s College Book Award – Jack Derosier and Kylie Seymour
This award is given to junior students who exhibit outstanding academic achievement, and who show a sustained and sincere commitment to community service, issues of peace and justice, and concern for others.
St. Thomas University Book Award – Andrew Faulkingham
Canada’s only exclusively liberal arts college annually honors a junior student who has demonstrated interest in the humanities, social sciences, or fine arts. The award includes a campus visit, as well as a personalized campus tour. Honorees are also guaranteed a $5,000 Canadian dollars scholarship should they choose to enroll at St. Thomas.
Smith College Book Award – Raina Movalia
This award is presented to an outstanding female junior who exemplifies the academic achievement, leadership qualities, and concern for others that characterize the thousands of women who have graduated from Smith College. The honoree will receive an application fee waiver should they choose to apply to Smith.
Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Achievement Award – Emily Batsaikhan
The Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Achievement Award goes to a female high school junior who has demonstrated outstanding performance and interest in the areas of science and mathematics.
Springfield College Book Award – Kobe Smith
This award goes to a high school junior whose personal values and aspirations most closely align with the mission of Springfield College: To educate students in spirit, mind and body for leadership in service to humanity. The candidate should demonstrate an exemplary record of service to their high school community and the community-at-large.
The Student Sage Scholarship at Russell Sage College – Vayda Billings, Elizabete Cahn, Ariana Cross, Zoe Morehead, Maizey Spencer
Student Sage nominees should be exceptional high school students who are engaged within their community, who maintained a B average (or better) in their academic coursework, and makes the school an exciting, creative, and engaging place of learning. The Student Sage award recipients are guaranteed one of our merit scholarships starting at $16,000 per year.
Suffolk University Book Award – Ryan Xu
The Suffolk University Book Award is given to a student who exemplifies a commitment to their education and school community.
University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award – Albert Bai
This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated high achievement and rigor in science and math classes. This student also positively contributes to their school and within the larger community. The recipient of this award will have their application fee waived and will be eligible to be considered for merit scholarships worth at least $5,000 per year.
University of Rochester Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award – Spring LaRose
This award recognizes a student who demonstrated commitment to understanding and addressing difficult social issues, leadership and dedication to community action, and strong grades and rigorous courses taken in the humanities and social sciences. The recipient of this award will have their application fee waived and will be eligible to be considered for merit scholarships worth at least $5,000 per year.
University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award – Gwen Rand
This award recognizes a student with strong leadership experience at school and in the community, high grades in challenging courses, and extensive involvement in extracurricular activities The recipient of this award will have their application fee waived and will be eligible to be considered for merit scholarships worth at least $5,000 per year.
University of Rochester Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology – Julianna Clark
This award recognizes a student with a strong interest and achievement in innovation and/or information technology, leading other students to new approaches to old problems, and exposure to new technologies outside of school. The recipient of this award will have their application fee waived and will be eligible to be considered for merit scholarships worth at least $5,000 per year.
University of Vermont Citizen Scholar Book Award – Jonah Bean
Putting knowledge into action for the betterment of humanity is at the foundation of a University of Vermont education. The Citizen Scholar Book Award celebrates high school students around the globe who demonstrate that spirit of citizenship and scholarship. These students are the movers, shakers, and change makers of the world. The Citizen Scholar will also get priority consideration for top merit scholarships and the honors college, and will receive an application fee waive, should they choose to apply to UVM.
U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award – Grace Martin and Logun McMahon
The U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award goes to a male and a female junior who are exemplary school citizens and role models for other students. They exhibit personal traits of courage, poise, self-confidence, and leadership. The recipients do not have to be the most outstanding athletes, but they have exhibited this unique combination of qualities while performing at a high level in all pursuits.
U.S. Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Musical Excellence Award – Aubrey Hanscom and Isaac Littlejohn
The U. S. Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Musical Excellence Award goes to a male and female junior who has been committed to the music program at their school, and is recognized as both an outstanding performer and as a truly outstanding young citizen.
U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award – Violet Davis and Ethan Yeung
The Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award goes to a male and a female junior who are recognized as exemplary young citizens and role models for younger students; and having best exhibited academic achievement and leadership as a high school scholar.
Wells College 21st Century Leadership Award – Jenna Perkins and Lily Stelline
This award celebrates high school juniors for their exemplary leadership demonstrated through academic performance, steadfast integrity, and community spirit. Wells College is looking for students who are ready to make a difference in the world and the lives of others. Honorees receive a $10,000 scholarship upon acceptance to Wells College.
Wesleyan Book Award – Sarah Michaud
The Wesleyan Book Award is presented to students who excel at a rigorous course of study, demonstrate independent thought and creative thinking consistent with the spirit of free and energetic inquiry encouraged by Wesleyan University, and show extracurricular achievement, school leadership, community involvement or commitment to the arts.
Williams College Book Award – Jing Russell
The Williams College Book Award is awarded to high school juniors who have demonstrated intellectual leadership and made significant contributions to the extracurricular life of their schools. The award books chosen each year are authored by Williams alumni or faculty.
Yale University Book Award – Soren Peterson
The Yale Book Award is given to a student for their Outstanding Personal Character and Intellectual Promise.
