We are pleased to report that a fundraiser held at John Bapst by the Top Hat II dance studio for local first-grader Wynter Przybylski’s family help cover medical costs associated with her battle to overcome Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The event raised $3,000.
The donation-only May 16th dance event was open to the public and included dance performances with a “vote for your favorite routine” contest; a bake sale featuring the dancers’ favorite desserts; and a silent auction. In a show of support, the school waived all rental fees for the event.
The Maine Edge, reported on the event and spoke to Wynter’s mother, Lisa Przybylski.
“The outpouring of support from the community still leaves us in shock and awe,” said Lisa Przybylski, Wynter’s mother. “The community support allows us to do everything possible for Wynter. She continues to smile and crack jokes every day, even through tests, procedures and medications. If her spirit is any indication, cancer doesn’t stand a chance.”
We wish the Przybylski family all the best and Wynter, we hope you get well soon.
