The start of school is always busy and it seems to just fly by. Here’s a quick list of what’s coming up this month for John Bapst families and students.
The Mrs. O’ Bowl Preseason Football MS Society Fundraiser game – August 30, 7 p.m. at Husson University
John Bapst’s Coach Dan O’Connell brings the Crusaders to challenge his brother, Coach Matt O’Connell of Nokomis and his team of Warriors. In honor of their mother, all gate reciepts, 50/50 raffle proceeds, a portion of the concessions, and funds from a raffle of two commemorative footballs all are donated to the MS Society.
Freshmen Field Trip – Sept. 2 (all day)

College Application Night – Sept 17, 6:00 p.m. in Sekera Auditorium
This event helps to prepare seniors and their families for the college application process. Students and parents from all grade levels are welcome to attend.
John Bapst Parents’ Association’s inaugural “Coffee with Mel” session – Sept. 24th at 7:30 a.m. in Sekera Auditorium
All John Bapst parents are invited to start the day with coffee and conversation with Head of School Mel MacKay.
Health News:
ImPACT tests will be administered to all 9th grade, 11th grade and transfer students within before the end of September. If you have questions regarding our concussion policy, or do not want your child’s data to be used in confidential research, please contact the Kathy Borer, the school nurse, at kborer@johnbapst.org. Information regarding the ImPACT test is also available on our website.
