The John Bapst Student Environmental Action Committee’s 4th Annual Peace Water and Wisdom Race was held on October 19th and raised over $1,000 for Initiative Eau and the BARKA foundation, which helps build wells and provide sanitation for the people of Burkina Faso in western Africa.

The annual event is well-loved.  This year 150 racers, 35 of which were John Bapst students, registered to run the race through the Bangor Waterfront. The winner of the male division was Kyle Mitchell and the winner of the female division was Ashley Sargent.

Anna Bryan and Diego Grossman, both seniors, have put forth great effort in organizing and hosting this event. Senior Minh Tran created the logo for this year’s race.
