As part of Ms. Campbell’s fall semester Oceanography course, students attended Maine Maritime Academy on October 2 to get some first-hand experience with marine science. Students spent part of the day on the MMA research vessel Friendship in Penobscot Bay doing bottom drags to survey what types of marine life are living in 30-60 ft. of water. Students also toured the T/S State of Maine and had a presentation by Dr. Ann Cleveland, Chair of the Corning School of Ocean Studies.
