John Bapst students traveled to the 16th annual Maine Model UN Conference at USM last week where they played the roles of negotiators, committee members, and international representatives from May 13 -15, 2014.
Three student were recognized for exceptional work in having excellent position papers, negotiation skills in committees, and their ability to accurately represent their country or position. Maryam Kashkooli ’14 was named Distinguished Delegate in the Palestinian Cabinet as the Minister of Education. Matt Norris ’15 was named Distinguished Delegate in the Security Council representing China and An Vo ’16 was named a Distinguished Delegate in ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) representing China.
