We are proud to share a post from the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter regarding recent graduate John Bapst Graduate Daniel Kerecman ’20.
Thank you, Daniel, for your work in making our community a better place.
From the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter’s Facebook page:
“Please allow us to introduce you to Daniel Kerecman. Daniel is an Eagle Scout with Troop 301 out of Bangor, who throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been searching endlessly for an opportunity to volunteer 8 hours of his time to earn his Citizenship Badge. We encountered this young man after receiving a call stating that he had 24 hours left to complete this work and all other options had been exhausted. Since COVID began, we too have put a hold on allowing volunteers or clothing donations to come into the shelter. After hearing his story, we made an exception to our policy, and found a safe way for him to enter the building and work in our clothing donation area in the basement. Daniel blew us all away with his excellent work ethic and everything he was able to accomplish for the Shelter during his time here. He left all of us speechless to say the least. Thank you so much Daniel for the positive impact you made on the Shelter…”
