Congratulations to Lauren Potter ’18 who will be competing in the Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest, held in June at the University of Maryland.
After months of research and success at a statewide competition, Lauren M. Potter, a sophomore at John Bapst, will proceed to the national competition.
Each year more than half a million students worldwide participate in the annual National History Day Contest. Students create projects in one of fivecategories: documentary, exhibit, paper, performance, or website.
The 2016 theme was Exploration, Encounter, Exchange in History.
Potter’s essay about language exchange between early colonists and Native Americans advanced her to the national competition. She is the daughter of Keith and Kristi Potter of Glenburn.
Well done, Lauren!
