The 9th annual John Bapst Hockey Boosters Golf Tournament tees off on Saturday, June 21 at Hidden Meadows Golf Course in Old Town. Registration is at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The golf tournament is the Booster’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The hockey program will have full varsity and JV teams this year and anticipates a very competitive season. Community participation goes a long way in supporting the teams this season and beyond. It is traditionally a fun day with hockey, golf and community supporters competing on the greens for valuable prizes.
There are prizes for the top three teams, closest to the pin, longest drive and chipping contests. Golfers will also be able to have a local celebrity golfer can take a drive for them, test their skill with a hockey stick on the putting green and try to drive a golf ball into a hockey net.
Before the shotgun start, players can warm up with coffee and donuts and get a $5 bucket of balls for the driving range. After the 18 holes, players can enjoy a BBQ lunch.
Community support can be given in three ways: participation as a golfer, tee sponsorships, or product/merchandise donations.
If a company wishes to put together a team and sponsor a hole, the Boosters make it easy. One $400 check can be written to cover 4 golfers, hole sponsorship, golf carts, meals, mulligans and string!
To enter just a team, the $300 level includes 4 players, golf carts, meals, mulligans and string!
Single tee sponsorships are also available for $125 each.
