Did you hear the news?
In December, 2021, Cyrus Iarrobino ’23 sprang into action after his mother fell and severely cut her wrist. Quick-thinking Cyrus created a tourniquet out of his new shoelaces, slowing his mom’s bleeding until emergency crews arrived.
In collaboration with the American Red Cross, John Bapst Memorial High School hosted an assembly Wednesday, March 30, to honor Cyrus and recognize his actions in saving his mother’s life.
Dispatchers from the Penobscot County Regional Communications Center were also in attendance.
The John Bapst community and the American Red Cross are extremely proud of Cyrus.
