Join the John Bapst music ensembles for the annual Spring Concert and the official unveiling of the John Bapst Wall of Honor, Sunday April 28 at 1:00 p.m. in Sekera Auditorium, John Bapst. More than 200 John Bapst students, nearly half the student body, will perform a wide variety of works from classic to modern. Tickets are $3 and are available in the Fine Arts Office during school hours and will be sold at the door beginning at noon on the day of the concert.
The concert will begin with the award-winning Jazz Band, which was named Division III State Champion in March, followed by the Chamber Ensemble, Chorale, Concert Band and Concert Choir. Also during the concert, the Wall of Honor will be officially unveiled in a brief ceremony.
The John Bapst Wall of Honor lists all known John Bapst alumni who have served in one o

f the US military’s five branches. Alumnus Shaun Dowd ’59 suggested the school honor its veterans and has been a driving force behind making it happen. Alumni from all eight of John Bapst’s decades came forward with their stories and made donations to make Dowd’s idea a reality. With the completion of this years-long effort, more than 700 John Bapst alumni are listed.
