Members of the John Bapst softball team visited the Lafayette Cancer Center in Brewer on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, touring the facility with Philanthropy Officer Jeni Lloyd and Medical Director Dr. Rodrigo Maegawa. Joined by Coach and Physical Education and Wellness Department Chair Shannon Whiting and Communications Director Eric Zelz, they all learned of the important work Northern Light Health Cancer Care does on a daily basis.
For the past six years, the John Bapst softball team has donated all money raised in the annual “Pink Game” to the Center. This year the game will be held on Saturday, June 1 at Husson University and the team expects another large and generous turnout.
Says Whiting, “I would like the girls to have a tour of the facilities in hopes they gain a better understanding of why it is important for us to give what we can to others in need.”
Thank you John Bapst softball players, coach Whiting, and the staff at the Lafayette Center for all the wonderful work you do.
