Congratulations to Riley Bartash on being awarded the Crusader of the Month!
Riley Bartash has been selected as our Crusader of the Month for January 2017. Riley is a senior who resides in Veazie with his parents Robert and Marta Bartash. Riley attended Mattanawcook Junior High School in Lincoln, Maine.
Riley is known throughout the school as the man who runs everything behind the scenes. He has made himself the resident expert on the auditorium sound system and makes sure that whether it’s a performance or an assembly, the sound system is running perfectly. His generosity with his time and talents is invaluable to the Fine Arts program in particular.
Riley is always available and willing to help anyone around school. Whether it’s a teacher carrying something to a classroom or a student who he sees needs help, Riley takes the initiative to jump in and lend a hand. He always has a smile on his face and makes everyone feel welcome. In the classroom, Riley is described as a hard-working student who strives to do his best. Riley is also a member of the Cyber-Defense Team and is in the Robotics Club. In the future, he plans on pursuing studies in the aeronautical field and becoming a commercial pilot. He is an Eagle Scout, has a private pilot’s license, and enjoys fishing and being with his family.
