The Student Senate recently proposed that girls be allowed to wear shorts. The faculty discussed the bill and came to the conclusion that girls will be allowed a “testing-it-out period” starting immediately after April vacation.
Shorts must be modest, in good repair, and have a 7-inch inseam – this means the length of the shorts from the crotch down the leg is at least 7 inches.
Below is a picture of what 7-inch inseam looks like.
PLEASE NOTE: If you want this bill to become a permanent part of the dress code, don’t break the rules. (Don’t wear short shorts. The school will decide later on whether this rule should be placed in the dress code, and the number of students with shorts violations will be a key factor in this decision.)
In addition to the girls’ change in dress code, boys will also be allowed to wear shorts immediately after vacation.
