John Bapst is proud to announce that its Cyber Defense team ranked very well in their national contest, with teams taking third place regionally and both first and second places in Maine.
The team which placed highest in the state advanced to the regional competition where they competed against teams in the northeast (from New Jersey north) where they placed third overall. The top Maine team, coached by Cody Emerson ’11 were Owen Leaden’ 15, Andrew Littlejohn’ 15, Kyle Kenney ’14, John Parrick ’16, Sam Lander ’15, and Tony Borer ’15.
Mike Murphy was the coach for the team of Maine 1st place team of Noah Potvin ’14, Leland Mushrall ’14, Matt Holmes ’14, Isaac Webb ’16, Riley Bartash ’17, Drew Thibodeau ’17, Noah Phillips ’15, and Kyle Rice ’17
Maine’s 2nd place team was Douglas Kaelin ’15, Brian Roy ’15, Will Collins ’17, Brett Knowles ’17,Karen Noble ’15, Caleb Chesley ’15, and Sam Jones ’15, coached by Jerry Gorman.
