Once again Bapst scores big in robotics! This past weekend, four of our teams traveled south early on Saturday to Hall-Dale High School in Hallowell to compete against a much larger field and some of the most accomplished teams in the state.
All State winners from last year were present in a field of 37 teams. In this meet, John Bapst placed two of their teams (2142D- Minimum Effort and 2141A-SaberTooth ZipTiegers) in the second and third place qualifiers respectively. 2142D went on to win the Tournament Champion award, teaming up again with Domo Arigato, a robot from first year competitors, Foxcroft Academy. In addition, 2142D went on to win the Robot Skills Champion Award with a state #1 score and a ranking of 268 out of 2422 world wide!
We are currently looking forward to our next meet in January on the 20th here at John Bapst again, the team hopes to have much improved our designs and hopefully again rise to the top of the field.
