Congratulations to Laura Mock!
In assembly on April 6, senior Laura Mock was honored as Crusader of the Month. Laura lives in Holden with her parents Charlie and Elisabeth Mock.
Laura provided exceptional leadership in Mary Poppins, this year’s spring musical, as the title character and as student director. She helped teach other students the vocal parts and took the time to put all of the individual harmonies on Facebook so each actor could practice independently.
Laura has a passion for learning new things. In addition to being an accomplished singer and violinist, this year she joined the band and is learning to play the electric bass guitar.
She is described by her teachers as an outstanding student and an outstanding classroom citizen. Not only does she always achieve any assignment objective, she has marvelous insights that she respectfully shares with the class and teacher. She is a student who makes the most of her talents through her hard work and dedication.
Laura is the President of the Chamber Orchestra and Chorale Council, a yearbook editor, a member of the Model UN team, a member of NHS, and a cheerleader. Outside school she enjoys dancing with the Robinson Ballet. She plans on pursuing studies in musical theater and hopes to work in show business.
Through her presence, Laura Mock makes John Bapst a better place.
