John Bapst Musicians Present Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 11
The John Bapst musicians will present their Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 11 at 1 p.m. in the Joseph W. Sekera Auditorium at John Bapst Memorial High School. There will be only one show, so be sure to mark your calendars! Light refreshments will be served.
Seating is reserved and tickets are $3 per person. Tickets will be on sale during school hours from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. daily beginning December 5 in Fine Arts Office in the John Bapst music wing. Any tickets still available on the day of the concert will be sold beginning at noon that day.
The musicians from Chorale, Concert Choir, Chamber Ensemble, Jazz Band and Concert Band will perform a variety of music including traditional favorites such as the traditional “First Noel,” Leroy Anderson’s beloved “Sleigh Ride,” and Handel’s iconic “Hallelujah Chorus” performed by the chorale in a full student performance of this glorious piece.
Fine Arts Boosters Annual Raffle
It is time for the Fine Arts Boosters Annual raffle! Proceeds from the raffle support fine arts scholarships, the purchase of new instruments and repairs, the art show, plays and concerts. More than 325 students participate in the Fine Arts Program at John Bapst. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each and can be purchased directly from fine arts students, in the John Bapst Fine Arts Office during school hours from 7:30-2pm daily, or at the Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The drawing will be held at the end of the Holiday Concert. One does not need to be present to win.
This year the following items are being raffled: a 46” LCD TV; 100 gallons of heating oil; one night for two with golf at the Samoset Resort; one cash prize of $100; and two cash prizes of $50 each.
