John Bapst serves day students from across the region and boarding students from around the world. Our mission is to be academically challenging, independent, and college-preparatory while fostering in students a respect for learning, for themselves, and for others. By all accounts, we’re succeeding. The Washington Post’s High School Academic Challenge has ranked us the #1 school in Maine in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017.
With ninety years of history, we have plenty of people to thank – and still plenty to plan for the next ninety years. While we challenge our students to achieve academic excellence and practice good citizenship, it’s up to us to provide the tools that they and their teachers and coaches need. John Bapst has been able to adapt to changing times and circumstances, but we have outgrown parts of the current facility. We must invest in the campus to remain effective and competitive.
Today the goal is clear. Let’s create and maintain attractive, purpose-built facilities to carry us into the future. The time has come to upgrade the historic main building at 100 Broadway, expand the campus, and increase the $1.3 million endowment. Together, through our $7.5 million Love That School! campaign, we can do it.
We are asking for your participation. Please help our students learn more and grow more with the kind of programs and spaces they need. Help us ensure that John Bapst will remain a great school with a great tradition for years to come.
Thank you.
