Be a John Bapst Scholar
John Bapst students who are native speakers of English can make a contribution to the International Program and get a taste of dormitory life as John Bapst Scholars. Both boys and girls are needed, and we accept applicants at all grade levels. A John Bapst Scholar rooms with one or more international student in a residence hall near school. The play an important role in the program informally through help on reading and writing assignments and formally through service on student leadership groups in the dorms. By providing mentorship in language and culture, a John Bapst Scholar is a true community builder. Plus, in our increasingly globalized world, it’s a great way to learn about other cultures and perspectives. Leadership, independence, service and a global perspective define the John Bapst Scholar program.
John Bapst Scholars come from far and near. For some, it presents an opportunity to reduce the weekday commute to school and still be at home on the weekends.
