John Bapst, a coeducational, independent college prep high school in Bangor, Maine, serves grades 9-12. We offer a challenging academic curriculum, robust athletic and arts programs, and we hold accreditation from New England Association of Colleges and Schools (NEASC). Our school has received numerous accolades, including being ranked the #1 high school in Maine by the Washington Post. We have also received the Platinum Award by the College Board, the highest available, as one of the top 7% of schools in the country offering AP courses.

John Bapst is located at 100 Broadway in Bangor. Situated in the heart of the historic district, the school sits perched just above downtown Bangor, a safe, small city in eastern Maine. Downtown Bangor offers shopping, cafes, and restaurants, ranging from quick and casual to elegant fine dining. Downtown Bangor is also home to the Zillman Art Museum, a modern art museum operated by the University of Maine and the Maine Discovery Museum. On main street in Bangor, a short walk from downtown, you'll find Maine Savings Pavilion, the largest outdoor music venue in the state, and the Cross Insurance Center, a modern, multifunction venue featuring an arena and conference center. Our campus is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Bangor International Airport and Concord Trailways bus station.
