50th John Bapst Student Travels to Sweden

During the school's February vacation, 14 students and two teachers from John Bapst traveled to Umea, Sweden to participate in an exchange program with a school there called Dragonskolan. This marks the fifth such trip from John Bapst to Umea, and on this trip the fiftieth John Bapst student traveled to Sweden’s “City of Birches.”

Jazz Band Places 2nd at State Competition

Congratulations to the John Bapst jazz band for advancing to the finals for the second year in a row and taking second place in the state jazz competition this weekend. Two of the five top musician awards went to Charlie Volkwein on piano and Lucas Wardell on drums. Outstanding solo awards went to: Ryan Jennings on guitar, Olivia Cohen on clarinet, Andrew Catlin on guitar, Lucas Wardell on drums, and Charlie Volkwein on piano.
