Sisters Emily and Elise Tilton, who combined for 59 goals and 29 assists in leading the John Bapst High School Crusaders to a 13-3 record this past fall, are going to play Division I field hockey.
Emily Tilton, who had 36 goals and 10 assists, will attend the University of Vermont on a partial scholarship in the fall and Elise, who had 23 & 19, has verbally committed to attend the University of Pennsylvania beginning in 2013.

The John Bapst Chamber Ensemble will be the featured guest musicians at a special Maine Music Educations In-service Conference at the UMaine Orono campus on Friday, May 18. They have been selected to rehearse with presenter Sandra Dackow in her session for Maine string teachers entitled “How to Improve Your Effectiveness in Rehearsal.”
The Chamber Ensemble will perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s Dance of the Tumblers and Mozart’s Symphony No.12, both arranged by Dackow.

For the past year high school teachers and their students studied mercury in the biota of New England streams, rivers and lakes in cooperation with University of Maine and Maine Sea Grant scientists.
