The John Bapst Field Hockey Team participated in the 2009 Maine State Games on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Deering High School in Portland. Eight teams from around the state participated in the tournament. The Crusaders finished in third place, earning the Bronze medal. We lost only one game to Bangor High School, the gold medal winner. It's shaping up to be a great season!

On Saturday, the John Bapst Girls team won their second straight state title in track and field. The boys team finished in fifth place.
The girls and boys teams had a total of 8 first place finishes:

They combined for two fifth place finishers:
They combined for four sixth place finishers:

The Hockey Boosters of John Bapst Memorial High School are holding their 4th annual Golf Tournament fundraiser on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Hidden Meadows Golf Course, Old Town. Shotgun start is at 8:00 a.m., rain or shine. Space is limited to first 20 teams registered.
The cost is $50.00 per player, and includes a cart and lunch. A team and hole can be sponsored for the discounted price of $275.00. Holes can be sponsored individually for $125.00 each. Proceeds from the tournament help cover the expenses for both the varsity and JV hockey teams for the upcoming 2009-2010 season.
