International students: your future starts here!

Whether you're from Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, or another part of the world, we want to send a warm Maine welcome to you.The USA is known for its music and movies, innovation economy, and beauty. We're also in large part a nation of immigrants, and welcoming students from beyond our borders comes naturally. You'll see how friendly Maine, a state of small towns and friendly people, is. Yet we're only four hours from Boston and a one-hour flight from New York -- two of America's most vibrant, student-friendly big cities.

John Bapst is a great school for international students. We offer dorm or homestay living, a safe environment, and most important of all, an outstanding academic program that has been ranked #1 in Maine in 2012, 2014, and 2016 by the Washington Post.

This year, the school is proud to serve students from China, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Germany, Spain, the UK, and Ghana. These students attend school with 425 American students, creating an ideal educational environment for learning English and gaining knowledge of American culture. It's the perfect preparation for college and university life in the United States.

At the core of the school’s college-preparatory mission is the Advanced Placement program. Offered in every department, AP classes match the rigor of university courses, prepare students for colleges and universities, and allow students to measure their progress against their peers around the world.

The John Bapst program leaves plenty of room for individual choices. Depending on talents and interests, students take an extra math or science course, study computer programming or graphic design, or work with their counselor to design a multi-year program in visual arts or music.

Outside the classroom, John Bapst students have further opportunities to expand learning through travel to such places as China, Sweden, Costa Rica, France, Spain, Mexico, the UK, Italy, Ireland, Canada, and more.

If you are ready for an American educational experience that will prepare you for the best colleges and universities, check out John Bapst.
